Thank you for visiting Aaron and Britt Thompson's journal of our experiences in Antarctica! Things to expect: moments of geeking out on science, overly adjectived descriptions, and hopefully some good shots. Thanks again and blessings to you all wherever you may be on this beautiful planet!

Let The Fun Begin!
After months of filling out paperwork, making phone calls, and completing interviews, the time has come for our last thing to check off before we can pack our bags and head to the Ice - today, I'll be getting my wisdom teeth yanked out of my head. Apparently no one in Antarctica is allowed to have their wisdom teeth due to a lack of dental professionals and an exorbitant cost to evacuate a worker if their teeth suddenly go haywire. This is a continent without wisdom teeth that we're headed to...and soon I'll be a part of the club. Our last great hurdle on the road to the land of ice and snow. Frozen peas and tube sock wrapped around my head - here I come!
